Hebron Center Building Campaign2004 - 2007
Hebron center is a core, Presbytery-wide resource that unites our congregations in a common ministry. Together we can pray, play and study on this sacred and beautiful site. Together, we can nurture our children and young leaders in love of God, neighbor and nature. Together we can provide a rich resource for outreach and mission in the world. By fitting Hebron Center for the next half-century and beyond, Albany Presbytery is being given a great opportunity to be faithful to the past and visionary about the future. + Please join us in this important work! + Campaign UpdatesHebron Center is in the middle of a Capital Fundraising Campaign. The goal is two fold: 1) that each church would consider a challenge goal presented to them, and 2) that we would have 100% participation by all the churches whether they were able to accept the challenge goal or not. So far, 56 churches have been contacted. 40 of those churches have pledged or set goals. Two churches will give but are not setting a particular goal. Six churches said they cannot or will not give. Eight churches are in the process of determining their goal. That leaves the committee 18 churches to contact with 10 of them already with a visit scheduled and the other 8 still to schedule. 19 individuals have pledged separately from their churches, which equals $18,061.00. Currently, the total pledged by churches is $579,061.00. As of November 11, 2005, a total of $148,385.99 has been received. The Campaign Committee has been working hard on your behalf to make this campaign a success. If your church has not been visited yet and you would like to set a date for such a visit, call Rev. John Barclay, chair, at 518-793-2521 and he will assign a member of the committee to make a visit. If your church has determined not to make a pledge at this time, you may still participate as an individual. Make checks payable to: Albany Presbytery and note that it is for the "Hebron Campaign." |
