General Camp Information
Camp Hebron, the summer camping program of Hebron Center, seeks to provide a warm
environment where children and youth can experience the love of God in Jesus Christ. We maintain
a counselor-to-camper ratio of 1-to-5, so there is time for individual attention. Camp Hebron
offers campers a variety of experiences so that they can learn about God, themselves, others, and
God's wonderful creation.
Hebron Center, owned and operated by the Presbytery of Albany - Presbyterian Church (USA),
is located on some 450 acres in beautiful Washington County, NY, near the Village of Salem. The
Hebron Center Ministries Committee oversees the program, operation and maintenance of Hebron
Center. The Hebron Center Director is Rev. Jerry McKinney, an ordained minister in the
Presbyterian Church (USA). He is certified by the American Camping Association and has directed the
summer program since 1986.
Camp Hebron gives campers the opportunity to focus on
their relationship with God, to experience Christian community,
and to practice living out spiritual values in a supportive atmosphere.
God's Calling!
Our theme this summer is "God's Calling!" From the beginning of the Scriptures to the end, the God
who created the heavens and the earth is also the God who is active in history and in the lives of nations and
individuals. The same God who called the creation into being also calls people into a new way of living and
serving. We will learn how God was active in the lives of Lydia & Anna, of Samuel & Peter. Campers will explore
the ways God calls them to follow Jesus.
